The district title was claimed by A&M Men’s Soccer was claimed by A&M Consolidated a few weeks ago and capped the regular season on top of the Brazos Valley. Now we look ahead to who will stand atop all the Texas teams as we look at the current state of the BI-District, Area, and Regional Matches.

 

1.       The Bi-District matches wrapped up this past Saturday as 72 teams battled it out for a spot in the next round of Area matches; A&M Consolidated, Waller, Paetow and Magnolia West were some of the top teams competing.

 

2.       A&M Consolidated had a wonderful season, with a 12-1 district record and claiming the title, however fell short of reaching the Area playoffs with a well-fought loss to Willis, 4-3.

 

3.       The last of the Area matches (slated for April 1st-2nd) finish tonight. Notable matches include Magnolia West v  Pflugerville Connally, Willis v Cedar Park, and Burleson v Brewer.

 

4.       The Regional Quarter Finals begin Thursday, April 4th and end April 6th, with Del Valle, Bel-Air, East Lake, and Kingwood Park being among the first to clinch a Regional berth, having bested Cooper, Amarillo, Rider and Bastrop, respectively.

 

5.       Stay tuned as the top teams continue to battle it out over the next few weeks to see who will claim the final four spots in regional play scheduled for April 13th and the state championship to follow on April 17th!
