Undefeated Allen Academy Rams rout Holy Trinity Catholic Celtics 54-8

BRYAN, Tx – Senior QB Brandon Boyd scored a total of six touchdowns, four pass, one run and one kickoff return to lead the undefeated Allen Academy Rams to a 54-8 rout of Holy Trinity Catholic Celtics on Friday night. Junior RB Brent Tucker was alongside Boyd as the top performers of the game with two receiving and two rushing touchdowns. 

The Ram defense was a force tonight only allowing eight points and tallying two fumble recoveries. The defense came away with four consecutive stops before allowing their first score. The Rams caused four Turnover-on-downs to help cap off their stellar performance. 

The Rams scored on their first seven drives in the first half. The scoring started on the Rams first drive with a 7-yard TD run by #22 Brent Tucker to put the rams out to a quick 8-0 lead. After a quick Rams stop, #2 Brandon Boyd threw a 30-yard TD pass to #22 Brent Tucker extending the lead to 14-0. Followed by another Rams stop, the Ram’s offense drove down the field which resulted in a 9-yard TD pass from #2 Boyd to #10 Jihu Lee. The second quarter started with the Celtics driving down the field but stalled due to a fumble that was recovered by #11 Elias Chapa. The Rams capitalized off the fumble with a 30-yard TD run by #22 Tucker extending the lead to 26-0 with 8:27 left in the 2ndquarter. The Celtics got back the ball and drove down the length of the field capping off their first score of the game with a 2-yard TD pass from #8 to #2. The Rams received the ball back with 5:33 left in the 2ndquarter and started with a 30-yard pass to #7 Aaron Boegner to the opposing 13 yard line followed by a 13-yard pass from #2 Boyd to #22 Tucker marking that as the second receiving TD of the night. After a quick turnover-on-downs by the Celtics, the Rams offense scored on a 40-yard TD run by #2 Boyd making the score 42-8. The Rams Defense came up big on the next drive with a fumble recovery by #12 Luke Meadows followed by another Rams touchdown pass from #2 Boyd to #7 Aaron Boegner for 45 yards. After half, the Rams special teams won the game with a 60-yard kickoff return by #2 Brandon Boyd. 

The Rams have dominated their opponents so far outscoring them 215-28. The Rams look to extend their streak next week where they travel to across town to play the Brazos Valley Christian Mustangs at 7:30 pm.
