St. Joseph’s Catholic School continues to produce high quality football players! An example of this is junior running back and linebacker, Twister Bairrington from Austin, Texas. Bairrington has helped his team in rushing with 22 attempts totaling in 159 yards, ending in a total of 2 touchdowns. He has also had  3 receptions totaling in 60 yards, ending in 1 touchdown. He has passed 1/1 totaling in 25 yards, resulting in 1 touchdown. But it doesn’t stop there! He’s been a wrecking ball on defense as well, with a total of 16 tackles and 1 sack. This kid is definitely off to a great start for this year!

“ I used to rodeo, I don't much anymore. I usually just do like school sports. Just basketball and baseball.”

What else do you like to do other than just football?

“I like watching football. and my favorite team is UT since my cousin played and I grew up there.”

What are you looking forward to most when your done with football and high school?

“College! I want to go to Sam Houston and get a Law Degree. And, maybe play football.”

Twister has been a force to be reckoned with since the beginning of the season, and we imagine he will stay on this same path as the season progresses. Coach Alec Castilleja speaks very highly of Twister. It is clear that this kid has put in the work to get to where he is today. If you have an open Friday night, make sure to join the St. Joseph Eagles, and Twister Bairrington, as they continue on their journey to the playoffs and a hopeful State Championship.
