Rudder Rangers come out with a win on Senior Night

The Lady Rangers faced off against the Waller Bulldogs in a home game this last Tuesday. The Rangers were coming off a loss and responded according in their last home game. As it was Senior Night, the Lady Rangers came out with a vengeance and did not drop a set. The team was led in kills by senior number nine, Taylor Baker, who had 13 kills on the night. The offense was also supported by senior Kaylee Herd, who had a kill percentage of 45.5 percent and one ace in the game. Kaylee Herd also led the team on the defensive side of the game. Along with Asani McGee, Kaylee Herd put up three blocks in the team, for a total of six blocks. The Lady Rangers won their last home game by sweeping the Waller Bulldogs for a fitting end to a great season. 

Rudder Football falls to A&M Consolidated

The Rudder Rangers played at A&M Consolidated on Friday, going into the game with a 5-3 record. The Rangers were coming into this game off a dominant win against the Cleveland Indians 42-6. With such a good win on the road, they were looking to repeat again this week. The opening of the game was tough, as the Tigers put up points in the first quarter. Rudder answered the seven points with a score of their own, but the Tigers pushed the lead to 17-7 by halftime. Rudder almost brought it back in the third, bringing the score to 14-19, but the Tigers ran away with the game, ending with a score of 25-14. However, The Rangers did have some bright moments during the game. The quarterback, Ej Ezar, passed for a substantial amount of yards and had a 32 yard pass. The defense also had a good game with a fumble recovery. The Rangers look to end the season with a win this Tuesday against Huntsville at home.
