November 10, 2019

BRYAN, TX – Senior QB Brandon Boyd scored a total of five touchdowns, three pass and two rushing, to lead the Allen Academy Rams to a dominant 57-0 win against the Alpha Omega Lions on Friday night. Junior running back #22 Brent Tucker had two rushing touchdowns along with #7 Aaron Boegner catching two receiving touchdowns as well as two fumble recoveries to help the Rams take down the Lions.

The Rams offense and defense both overpowered the Lions in tonight’s blowout win. The offense was unstoppable, scoring on every single drive while the defense was dominant recovering three fumbles with no points allowed.

The Rams offense produced points on the very first play of the game with a 40-yard TD run by #2 Brandon Boyd. Alpha Omega received the kickoff and just two plays later coughed the ball up to #12 Luke Meadows of Allen Academy which led the Rams driving down the field to a one-yard TD run by #22 Brent Tucker (missed PAT), settling the score at 14-0. Another Alpha Omega fumbled followed on their next drive, recovered by #7 Boegner which led to a beautiful 20-yard on the run touchdown throw by #2 Boyd to #10 Jihu Lee extending the lead to 20-0. After a stalled drive by Alpha Omega, the Rams answered again with a 17-yard TD pass from Boyd to #7 Boegner with 4:42 left in the first quarter. Rams defense forced another quick turnover-on-downs followed by an electrifying 68-yard TD run by #11 Elia Chapa putting the lead at 35-0 over Alpha Omega nearing the end of the first quarter. The Lions offense stalled again giving the ball back to the unstoppable Rams offense which responded with a 10-yard TD run by #2 Boyd, trucking his way into the endzone to increase the score at 41-0.

On the next drive to start the second quarter, Luke Meadows recovered his second fumble of the game off a botched snap, giving the ball back to the high powered Rams offense who then scored on a 30-yard TD run by #22 Tucker making it 49-0 with 8:31 left in the second quarter. The Rams scoring would soon be capped off for the night with a touchdown pass from Boyd to #7 for 21-yards which led to the final score of 57-0 at halftime.

The Rams finished the season at 9-1. Their opponent for next week’s playoff game has yet to be announced.
