CSHS Player Spotlight: RB Roderick Brown

November 27, 2019

Roderick Brown has had an impressive season for College Station High School. While he has had a fantastic season, he gives credit to all of his teammates and says his favorite memory playing at College Station High School is the ability and opportunity to build a strong brotherhood with the guys he gets to play with.

Before each game, Brown likes to go to the jugs (Passing) machine and take about 20 balls before kickoff to warm up. Brown is a motivator. When asked if he could tell his fans from CSHS anything, his response was, “I want them to know they’re going to get the best out of me every day on and off of the field. Also, don’t let anyone ever tell you you aren’t good enough or skilled enough, instead, prove them wrong with what you do.”

As the Cougars are approaching the end of a fantastic season, Roderick brown has put up some great numbers. Earning 1,124 rushing yards and averaging 5.4 yards a carry, he has been a running machine. Brown has also had 210 carries and currently sits at 1,362 all-purpose yards.

Speaking with him after a game, he says his goal for the future is to continue to further his education with an opportunity to play football and achieve his dreams.
